"What have you got there?" asked the friend, nodding towards the box.
"A mongoose," replied the drunk.
"What have you got a mongoose for?"
"Well, you know how drunk I can get. When I get drunk, I see snakes and I'm scared to death of snakes. That's why I got this mongoose, for protection."
"But those snakes are imaginary."
"That's OK. So is this mongoose."
